Rosen Scholars Program

Empowering students. Transforming futures

The Rosen Scholars Program is an initiative dedicated to recognizing and supporting students in Orlando’s Tangelo Park and Parramore neighborhoods. Founded on Harris Rosen’s unwavering commitment to providing hope and opportunity, the program offers scholarships, coaching, and invaluable career-building experiences. By removing barriers and fostering knowledge, networking, and professional growth, we empower students to shape their futures with confidence. Through education and mentorship, we’re helping to build a stronger, more connected community—one scholar at a time.

Testimonials

  • Over my 30 years as the scholarship coordinator, I have witnessed the transformative power of education in our neighborhood. The impact of this scholarship program goes beyond financial assistance; it ignites a spark of hope and possibility in the hearts of students and parents alike. I have seen attitudes shift from doubt to determination, from resignation to resilience. Investing in education is investing in the future, and I am privileged to witness the positive changes it brings to our community every day.

Juanita Reed – Rosen Scholarship Coordinator

  • My husband and I are extremely grateful for the Rosen scholarship program as it afforded my children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews to further their education. It allowed them to obtain their degrees debt free and the majority went on to receive advanced degrees through programs offered in undergrad. I would just like to thank the foundation, Mrs. Reed and Mr. Rosen himself for the generous contribution and support for my family.

Marva and Elgin Cummings – Tangelo Park Residents

  • As a single parent, I was profoundly grateful for Mr. Rosen and the Tangelo Park Scholarship. It has been a beacon of hope and support for me since my son Myles was two years old. This scholarship not only alleviated my financial burdens but also made the dream of college a reality. Because of this incredible opportunity, my son earned a full scholarship to Florida A&M and graduated with a bachelor’s degree opening doors that would have otherwise remained closed. Thank you, Mr. Rosen for transforming our lives and empowering my son to achieve his fullest potential!

Angel Barker – Tangelo Park Resident

  • I am a proud resident of the Tangelo Park Community where I participated in Harris Rosen’s Tangelo Park Program. I matriculated through the Orange County Public Schools System and am a 2018 graduate of Dr. Phillips High School. I have had the esteemed pleasure of being part of the first inaugural cohort of the Rosen Rollins Scholarship where I received a full ride scholarship covering all four years at Rollins College. In May 2022, I graduated from Rollins College, through the Rosen Rollins Scholarship, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a double minor in sociology and global health.
